My Top 4 Dollar-Saving Grocery Apps
My Top 4 Dollar-Saving Grocery Apps
We are always looking for ways to save money, and so far, with all the apps I have tried, these four are by far my favorites. They're free, easy to use and they really save us money.
This is not a grocery app, but this is the one that has a permanent place on my phone that is why it's first on my list.
With this app, you can turn your receipts into cash just by taking a photo of them no matter what you buy and where you buy them. Just make sure that the receipt reflects the store/restaurant name, transaction date, itemized purchases; and that you upload the receipt within 14 days from transaction date.
You can redeem your cash through Paypal payment or Amazon gift cards. A minimum of $5 is required for pay out.
It is also a great way to cut paper clutter.
2. Ibotta
The app works like a digital coupon. You unlock the cash reward on the products that you intend to buy. After the purchase at any supported store, scan your product barcodes and then submit a photo of your receipt. Your rebate will be deposited into your Ibotta account within 48 hours.
You can redeem your cash through Paypal payment or gift cards. A minimum of $20 is required for pay out.
3. Mobisave
This also works like a digital coupon, but what I love about it is that you can shop from any store and get your rebate as long as the deal you chose is on the itemized receipt. Also, as soon as the rebate is verified, it is deposited right into your Paypal account. No minimum amount is required.
4. Checkout 51
This app works like Mobisave. The difference is that you have to have a minimum of $20 in your account for payout and they mail you a physical check.
The money you save from the apps might not be substantial, but I really think they're worth the time and effort. I'm not very good with paper coupons. I have a hard time keeping up with their expiration dates and organizing them so I'm better off with these apps.
Let's put our smart phones to good use.
